Piecework:

Clyde Federal is something of a singles act, cranking out unforgettable songs for an imaginary new golden age of radio. Of course, nobody actually releases singles anymore but that doesn't mean you can't write them! "Piecework" marks the debut of guitarist Joe Cannon and bassist Mike Renaud, and they sneak up around longtime drummer Mike Bulington and front man Michael Lyons like they've been there all along. It was recorded on October 12, 2004 and the songs reflect the spirit of that uncertain time. Founding member Jeremy Morse even dropped by and played autoharp on a couple of tracks for posterity. Clyde fans will notice plenty of new sounds on this record -- but as always the songs are defiant, resigned, and instantly memorable.
